AM 580 GENERAL CONTEST OFFICIAL RULES AND REGULATIONS
1. No purchase necessary. A purchase will not increase your chances of winning. Void where prohibited.
2. The contest runs at such time as is indicated on-air by the program host. PRIZE: Each prize will be as described on-air by the program host. The eligible winner will be announced on-air and may be required to chat on-air. Each eligible contestant will be required to provide a representative of CKWW with their name, address and telephone number.
3. AM 580 listeners are eligible to win one (1) prize (or prize package) once every sixty (60) days. A listener is eligible to win one (1) prize valued at over $500 once every six (6) months. One winner per household once every sixty (60) days. Inaudible/illegible entries are ineligible.
4. To enter and to be eligible to win, entrant must be a legal resident of Southwestern Ontario (Essex, Kent and Lambton counties) or Southeastern Michigan (Wayne, Oakland, Macomb, Monroe and Washtenaw counties) and be over the age of majority in his or her province or state of residence. Employees and their parents, siblings and children, and persons domiciled with an employee of CTV Limited, any of the Contest Sponsor(s), its/their agents, parent, affiliated or related companies, subsidiaries, divisions, prize sponsors, and promotional and advertising agencies and administrators, and employees of other media outlets in the Detroit-Windsor Market are ineligible to enter.
5. Prize must be accepted as awarded. Prizes may not be sold, transferred and are not convertible to cash. Contest Sponsor reserves the right to substitute the Prize in whole or in part in the event that all or any component of the Prizes is unavailable. Exchanges, transfers, or cash values will be not substituted. AM 580 is not responsible for prize cancellations outside of our control (i.e.: concert postponement/cancellation). AM 580 reserves the right to substitute any prize(s) for a prize of equal or lesser value at our discretion. The refusal by an entrant to accept any prize releases and forever discharges the station, Contest Sponsors and their agents of all obligations related to the prize, including delivery. It is the responsibility of the contest winner to report any and all prize winnings and their value for taxation purposes to their respective government agency where applicable.
6. Contest winner must claim prizes within sixty (60) days unless otherwise noted. Potential winners must present valid photo identification to receive all prizes. Prizes may be picked up during regular business hours at the respective AM 580 offices: 30100 Telegraph Road, Suite # 460, Bingham Farms, MI (U.S. winners), or, 1640 Ouellette Avenue, Windsor, Ontario (Canadian winners). Failure to claim qualifying prize(s) within sixty (60) days will result in forfeiture of said prize without compensation.
7. The odds of winning a Prize will depend upon the total number of callers/entries received.
8. In order to comply with the Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative border rules, potential winner and their guest must be in possession of a valid passport, visa, or enhanced driver’s license satisfactory to applicable customs and immigration officials if the prize results in travelling outside their country of origin. Passport, enhanced driver’s license or visa must be valid the day the contest commences.
9. Potential Prize winner and his/her guests are solely responsible for all costs not expressly described that may result in accepting a Prize including, without limitation, applicable taxes, fuel/currency surcharges, toll charges where applicable, ground transportation, meals, beverages, gratuities, merchandise, telephone calls, insurance together with any required travel documentation, and all personal expenses of any kind or nature.
10. AM 580 CKWW, acting reasonably, will attempt to contact each potential winner, by telephone within two (2) business days after that potential winner became the correct caller to get through to AM 580 CKWW. In the event a potential winner cannot be contacted within 2 business days as noted above, he or she may be disqualified and that prize will be forfeited. Proof of identification must be provided upon request. If Canadian, in order to be declared a winner, potential winner must first correctly answer, unaided, a time limited mathematical skill testing question administered by AM 580 CKWW. Before being awarded a Prize, potential winner and each potential winner’s traveling companion(s), as applicable, or, if under the age of majority, his or her parent or legal guardian, will be required to sign and return within the time stipulated by the Contest Sponsor, a full release and indemnity form stating that he/she has read and understood these official rules and regulations (“Rules”), grants all consents required, authorizes the Contest Sponsor to broadcast, publish and disseminate his/her name, city of residence, photograph, likeness, sobriquet and voice, in connection with any promotion or publicity, and/or for general news, entertainment and information purposes at no additional compensation to the potential winner, beyond the awarding of or participation in the Prize, accepts the Prize as offered and releases the Contest Sponsor from any and all liability of any kind arising out of the potential winner’s participation in this Contest and receipt and use of the Prize. In the event that the potential winner does not comply with all the provisions as contemplated in these Rules, Contest Sponsor shall have the right to disqualify potential winner, and forfeit the prize and the Contest Sponsor shall be fully and completely released and discharged from any liability or responsibility in this regard.
11. By entering a Contest the entrants and participants automatically agree to accept and abide by these Rules. All decisions of the Contest Sponsor(s) with respect to any aspect of this Contest, including without limitation the eligibility of entries, are final and binding on all entrants in all matters as they relate to a Contest.
12. All entries become the property of Contest Sponsor(s) who assume no responsibility for garbled, in audible, lost, late, delayed, destroyed or misdirected entries or any computer errors or malfunctions. No correspondence will be entered into except with entrants requesting Rules by mail or requesting names of Prize winner(s) (for which a self-addressed, postage paid envelope must be included). Contest Sponsor(s) does/do not assume any responsibility for incorrect or inaccurate capture of entry information, technical malfunctions, human or technical error, seeding or printing errors, lost, delayed or garbled data or transmissions, omission, interruption, deletion, defect or failures of any telephone or computer line or network, computer equipment, software or any combination thereof. Entry materials/data that have been tampered with or altered are void. If for any reason, in the opinion of the Contest Sponsor(s), in its/their sole discretion, the Contest is not capable of running as originally planned, or if the administration, security, fairness, integrity or the proper conduct of the Contest is corrupted or adversely affected, including by reason of infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond its/their control, Contest Sponsor(s) reserve(s) its/their right to cancel, terminate, modify, amend, extend or suspend the Contest including canceling any method of entry, and select a winner from previously received eligible entries. Contest Sponsor(s) reserve(s) its/their right to modify the Rules without materially affecting the terms and conditions hereof. The Contest Sponsor(s) reserve(s) its/their right in its/their sole discretion to disqualify any individual it/they find(s) to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest or to be acting in violation of the Rules or otherwise in a disruptive manner. Contest Sponsor(s) in its/their sole discretion, further reserve(s) its/their right to terminate the on-line portion, as applicable, of the Contest and conduct the drawing from all on-line entries and all other entries (as applicable) previously received during the Contest Period. Any attempts to deliberately damage the Contest web site or to undermine the legitimate operation of this Contest is a violation of criminal and civil laws and should such an attempt be made the Contest Sponsor(s) reserve(s) its/their right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent of the law. Contest Sponsor (s) shall not be held responsible for any errors or negligence that may arise or occur in connection with the Contest including any damage to an entrant’s computer equipment, system, software or any combination thereof, as a result of their participation in this Contest or from downloading any material from the Contest web site, where applicable.
13. All decisions of the Station are final. Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial, state and municipal laws and regulations. By entering this Contest, each entrant consents to the collection, use and distribution of his/her personal information (information that identifies an entrant as an individual, such as home telephone number, age and home address) by the Contest Sponsor(s) for the purposes of implementing, administering and fulfilling this Contest. Contest Sponsor(s) will not sell or transmit this information to third parties except for the purposes of administering of the Contest. Any inquiry concerning the personal information held by the Contest Sponsor(s) should be addressed to the station.
14. Online listeners to the AM 580 CKWW web stream may experience a reception delay of up to two minutes. Listening to CKWW’s over-the-air broadcast is the best way to participate in the on-air portion of any contest.

All intellectual property, including but not limited to trade-marks, trade-names, logos, designs, promotional materials, web pages, source codes, drawings, illustrations, slogans and representations are owned by the Contest Sponsors and or their affiliates. All rights are reserved. Unauthorized copying or use of any copyrighted material or intellectual property without the express written consent of its owner is strictly prohibited.
Morning Mystery Oldie Contest General Rules and Regulations
1. These are the general rules and regulations governing “The AM 580 Morning Mystery Oldie Contest”.
2. TO ENTER: Each weekday on the Charlie O’Brien Morning Show, a clip(s) of an Oldies song will air between 6 a.m. & 8:20 a.m. Eastern Time (“ET”). At 8:20 a.m. listeners will be instructed to call the contest line: 1-866-554-5858 and try to identify the title of the song. The first person to correctly identify the song title and meets the requirements set forth in these official contest rules wins the daily qualifying prize. PRIZE: Each prize will be as described on-air by the program host. The eligible Daily Qualifying winner will be announced on-air and may be required to chat on-air. Each eligible contestant will be required to provide a representative of CKWW with their name, address and telephone number. Inaudible entries are ineligible. The odds of a listener qualifying for a Daily Qualifying Prize will depend upon the number of eligible calls received.

Travel dates and hotel accommodation are subject to change without notice or compensation. Grand Prize winner and his/her travelling companion(s) are also solely responsible for all costs incurred to and from the Departure Point as the Grand Prize originates and terminates there. Grand Prize winner and his/her travelling companion(s) must be able to travel at the times and dates as determined by the Contest Sponsor(s) in its/their sole discretion failing which the Grand Prize will be forfeited. It is recommended that Grand Prize winner and his/her travelling companion(s) obtain sufficient personal insurance prior to departure. Some restrictions and blackout periods may apply.
